This exotic box has Ziricote liners inside.

 The top is made from spalted Maple and Porcupine wood.  The sides are Porcupine, while the inside walls are Ziricote.  The bottom is a blue suede.      11.5"L  x  6" W x  4"H

Walnut has been prized for centuries.

 This  is a sculpted box, curved and shaped  on two sides.  The top is dark Walnut, and two strips of Cherry.  Sidewalls are all dark Walnut, too.  The inside walls are covered with a rich, black fabric.  The divider can move.   9"L  x  8" W x  3"H

Brazillian Cherry is an exotic pleasing wood.

                                                             $ 169.     

 The top and majority of the sidewalls are made from Brazilian Cherry.  The supports and trim are American Red Oak.  Inside walls and bottom are lined with fabric.      7.25"L  x  3.5" W x  3.5"H

The grain in Rehheart is very different than regular wood.

 The top and sidewalls  are made from Redheart (aka Chakte-kok).  The feet and top handle is African Ebony.  The inside walls maple with the bottom covered in a cheetah print fabric.     12"L  x  4" W x  4.5"H

Cherry and Walnut are a good pair.

 The top and sidewalls are made from Cherry with dark Walnut inlays.  Inside the bottom is covered with a rich velour fabric.  The top is a forged metal handle.   10"L  x  7" W x  5"H.

 I call this box "The Peek-a-Boo" box because of the whimsical curve at the end of the lid.  Made from American Dark Walnut, with  featherslips and dowel inserts.  Inside, the bottom is covered with a rich, green fabric.  7"L  x  4" W x  4"H.

The use of common wood and exotic wood can be OK.

 The top is made from rare Cocobolo wood, prized for it's rich grain and hardness.  The side walls are Cherry.  The top handle is a piece of Ironwood I found on my property.  Inside are two Ziricote dividers sitting atop a rich velour fabric.      12.5"L  x  6" W x 5"H

Beautiful swirls in Cocobolo wood

The top is made from rare Cocobolo and trimmed in Oak.  It has a deep, rich grain and radical color shifts.  The outside walls are Brazilian Rosewood.  The inside side walls are a burgundy velour with the bottom in black suede.  Slip feathers were used twice on all four sides for strength and design.  10.25Lx5Wx2.5H

Ah, the mysteries of the Pyramid!  This is a single ring pyramid box made from Dark Walnut.  The bottom base is Maple.  (not shown)  The ring holder is suede. 6Lx6Wx5H

Beautiful inlay and false bottoms are in this exotic box.

The top is a beautiful piece of Purpleheart, rich in grain and mottled in colors that range from black to light purple.  The top is inlaid with Brazillian Rosewood and Oak.  Inside, the tray is made from Mahagony with a black suede bottom.  Ah, but we're not done yet folks:  The bottom is false, revealing another chamber lined in black suede, too.   6"L x 5.5"W x 4" H   #110.
